DECLINES CORONER'S DIRECTION.

LOCKED UP FOR FOUR HOURS

LONDON, December 25. During the inquest on a child at Omagh, in Tyrone, the Coroner refused to call medical evidence on the ground that he personally was responsible for tlje doctor's fee. He directed the jury to find a verdict of fatally burned, but the jury declined in the absence of medical evidence.

After further deliberation the jury was locked up in a dark room, and were without food.

The Coroner yielded after four hours had passed, and called in a doctor.
