MASS MEETING IN LONDON. FORMATION OF UNION FAVOURED. Received This Morning, 12.30 o'clock. LONDON, December 22. A mass meeting attended' by a thousand policemen wae held in Trafalgar Square, 11 in support of a Metropolitan Police Union. The speakers declared that 95 per cent of the force are favourable to the formation of, a union, and that the constables' wage of 27s was inadequate to prevent corruption. Tyranny, it was stated, was being exercised in the force to an extent unrealised by the public. They invited the support of all trade unions.
