MASTERTON WOOL SALES.
The Now Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report as follows: —We helcl our periodical wool, skin and hide sale yesterday, before the usual attendance of buyers, and prices of «kins and wool dropped 1-Jd to Ifd per lb against last sale. We quote: SheepskinsCoarse crossbred Gd to 6-Jd, medium j crossbred CJ-d to 7d, fine crossbred 6;; d to 7-itl, Ist dead to 5?, d, 2nd dead to damaged od to 6j-d, seedy 5-Jd. Wood—Medium crossbred in sacks 7Ad to Bd, dead 6d to 7d, I rough pieces 3j}d to Hides— I Cow 7d to 7id, cow (cut) to 6i-d, cow I (slippy) s}d to ojjd, yearlings to 7d, calfskins 7id to 9fid. Tallow—ln tins ' 22s Gd per cwt. The Wairarnpa Fanners' Co-oper-ative Association, Ltd., report on yesterday's wool, skin and hide sale ii« follows :—We submitted a catalogue of 20 bales and 100 bags of wool, 1500 sheepskins, 50 hides, and 250 calfskins, also 100 tins of tallow and a quantity of rabbitskins and 1 horsehair. There was a fair attendj ance of buyers, but competition was not particularly keen and prices for all lines, showed a decline from last I -sale. We quote as follows: Wool—j Scedv dead 53d, Ist dead 7d to 7Jd. 2nd dead 6-Jd, fleece 6sd to Bd, fine fleece 9d, pieces 4d, necks and bellies sid, crutchings 5-} d: SheepskinsCrossbred Gd to 63d, hoggets s£d to 7-Jd, dead hoggets 4d to s£d, broken crossbred 5d to o-id', 2nd crossbred 6Jd, 2nd dead 4Jd to sd, good dead 5-Jd, half-wools Gd, damaged halfwools sd, quarter-wools 4-id, ; fine wools 7d, close wools' 7}d, muddy, is 6d each, black 4id, ram dead. s|d, seedy cross breds sd, seedy dead hoggets 4d to damp crossbred 5s 4d each, Ist pelts sd, 2nd pelts to 4-Jd, miscellaneous 2id. Hides—Bnll 4Jd, cow (dead) 6d, cow )'cow (sound) 7d, cow (slippy arid cut) I 4Jd, cow (slippy part dry) 6id to 7d, j cow (slippy dead) 6*A ox (sound) 7d, ox (slippy) 6-Jd, yearling (sound) 6£d to 7d, yearling (slippy) s|d, yearling (cut,V 6d, horse (cut) 5s each. Calfskins— Good 9£d to 9§d,cut 7d, slipj pv 6gd, cut and slippy sd, dry 3£d, siippy part dry 3d. Tallow—lsts 23s 3d per cwt, 2ncls 22s per cwt, rough fat 13s per cwt, horse Is lid per lb. Messrs Dalgety and 00. report: At dur periodical sale of wool, skin, hide and tallow, held yesterday, there was a somewhat smaller attendance of buyers than usual, but bidding up to a certain point was animated. Prices, in sympathy with other markets, showed a decline, mnd several lots' of wool arid skins, Fading to reach reserves, were passed in. We quote :■— Skins.—Crossbred s£d to 6|cl, crossbred dead s£d, hoggets 4id tos£d, short wools to damp 6|d, lambs m. ■ - ' Wool.—Crossbred fleece 6|d to 7d, pieces 4£d, bellies 6sd.
