PAHIATUA STOCK SALE. Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd. report on their Pahiatua stock sale, held on Tuesday, 9tli in-st., as follows :—We had a very large yarding of sheep and fair onei of cattle, which we offered to a large attendance of the public. We have to report a very good sale, every line of sheep beinp/ cleared and nearly every line of cattle. Quotations :—Sheep; Four, 6-tooth and f.m. woolly ewes' with 100 per cent, lambs £27s 3d to 27s lid, 4 and 5-year ewes with lambs at foot 245, 2-tooth wether* 13s 7d to 15s, 4-tooth wethers 15s Id to 17s Id, mixed sex woolly hoggets 15s sd. Cattle: Store cows* £3 19s to £4 13s 6d springing cowsi £3 10s to £O, heifers on drop £5 ,12s 6d to £5 15s, 2-year empty heifers £3 6s yearling heifers 345, cows in milk £4 to £6 10s, Jersey bulls £2 ss. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report:— We held our usual weekly sale at Pahiatua on Tuesday, when wo submitted a fair entry of cattle to the usual attendance of buyers. Empty heifers made £4. 18-month do £3 6s, yearling steers £3, and bulls £2 to £3 10s." WAIPOUA STOCK SALE. Messrs W. and G. Turnbidl and Co., Ltd., report having held their usual weekly sale in their Waipoua (Masterton) sale yards on Wednesday, December 10th, 1913, when they offered a small yarding of sheep but a good yarding of cattle. There was a good attendance of btivers present from all parts of the district, and competition being very keen, we can report a very good clearance. In our cattle entry we aold on account of Erl T. Williams, Esq., covrs and calves at £6 3s, forward cows £5 13s, fat cows £7 2s 6d, 2-year heifers £4. Other ■pnras realised were as follows: Store cow* £3 15s to £4 10s, empty 2-year old heifers £3 15s, -springing heifers £5 2s to £6, yearling dairy heifers £3 sa, yearling steers £2 18s 6d, fat cows £7 Bs, yearling steers (small) 37s 6d; Shorthorn bulls £8 17s 6d to £lO 17a 6d. . ■ •

SOLWAY STOCK SALE. Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., Masterton, report having held their usual weekly sale at Sohvay on Wednesday -10 th inst. There was a large ai>tendance and a good yarding of stock, especially cattle, which met with keen competition, and realised the following prices :—Cattle: Yearling steers £2 19s, yearling heifers £2 19s, 2year steers 3J4 7s 6d to £4 10s, forward empty cows and heifers £5 8s to £5 lis, 3-year steers £6 2s to £7 16s. Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd. report on their Mas'terton sale, held yesterday, as under: We offered a good yarding of cattle, including some nice lines of extra quality steers and cows from Brancepeth station, which met a very spirited sale, 125 exceptionally well grown good-conditioned 2-year-old steers making £7 5s tinder the hammer. A line of 90 freshconditioned cows made £O, several pens of heifers and cow beef from Brancepeth, good weights and splendid quality were keenly competed for and made'from £8 Is to £8 lis. With the exception of one small pen we have'to report a total clearance under the hammer. Quotations : Twoyear old steers £5 10s and up to £7 5s for an exceptionally good lot, heifers in'calf (good) £o Bs, empty cows and" heifers £4 15s to £6, yearling heifers £2 ss, 2-year old heifers £2 17« 6d to £3 ssi, fat heifers £8 Is, fat cows £B, fat cows and heifers £8 la to £8 lis. - The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report: — , At Sol way on Wednesday we submitted a small entry of sheep and a good one of cattle to a large attendance of buyers. Competition throughout the sal© was keen, and we are pleased to report an almdst. total clearance at the following rates. Shorn ewes with lambs at foot i9s 2d, weaner calves £1 5s to £1 9s, yearling steers £2 12s 6d to £2 18s 6d, empty cows £3 7s 6d to £4 4s, cows and valves £4 Is td £4 7a, bulls £3 to £4, hack £5. JOHNSONVILLE STOCK SALE JOHNSONVILLE. Last Night. Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report on their Johnsonville sale as follows: At our sale to-day we had a very good yarding of both cattle and sheep. The entry of tfattle cokiprised extra fine bullocks and cows. These met with a good demand at ruling rates. The sheep were also! mostly of fine quality and these sold readily.
