Our Own Correspondent. In the Police Court cm Wednesday morning, Michael Burke was 1 convicted and discharged for drunkenness, but was ordered to pay costs 2s. George and Ethel Hunter were charged with being idle and disorderly persons, and with soliciting alms. They were remanded to appear on Thursday morning, bail being fixed at £2O. Mr George, who some months ago injured his arm at a sawmill at Kahutara, has been under treatment for the injury in the South Wairarapa Hospital, arid has recovered sufficiently from the accident as to be able td leave the institution. Wool in small lots continues to be Consigned from the local railway station.
