THE ELLWOOD TRIO. To-night in 'the Town Hall, the famous Elhvood trio will make their appearance after a lapse years. Since that time the. Ellwoods have studied under the world's greatest masters in London, Berlin and Brussels. George Ellwotod, the cellist of the party, is a pupil of the great, Jean Gerardy* and winner of the coveted "Premier Prix" of the Liege Conservatoire. Mi- Arthur Macdonald, the Scotch baritone, it will be remembered, caused a sensation by carrying off the championship gold medal at the .New Zealand competitions. The concert commences lit 8 p.m., and according to the New Zealand Times, the El!wood trio deserve a bumper house. The prices are 3s, 2s, and Is. and special concessions will be made to musical students in parties of no less than six.
