AUCKLAND MAN SELECTED. (B)h Telegraph—Yrm Auociation.) WELLINGTON, Last Night. The election of .Rhodes scholar for 1914 was held at Government House to-day, the Governor, as Chairman of the Committee, presided. Sir Robert Stout, a* Chancellor of the University of New Zealand, Mr Justice Chapman, as the next Senior Judge available;: Professors, Segar (Auckland), Picken (Wellington), Chilton (Christchurchy and .Malcolm (Otago) and Mr Hector (Registrar of the University) were also: present. Alter careful consideration Mr William Meirion Jones,B.S.C, of Auckland University College, was unanimously selected as the scholar for 1914.
