An elderly man named William Smith, a resident of Bulls for 35 years, was killed instantaneously today. H© was giving a lad a ride behind- him while lie was returning from the Marton stock sale, and the horse, objecting to the double burden, threw Smith* He fell on his forehead, and was killed instantaneously. He leaves a widow and eight children, all grown up. YOUNG MAN!S DEATH. WANGANUI,, Last Night. A young /man named Reginald <O. Faber, aged 18, met with a fatal accident yesterday. While riding a motor cycle he collided with a dray, and ' sustained a fractured larynx. Death resulted this' afternoon. Faber was a well-known athlete* and an ex-student of the Collegiate School. He represented Wianganui -in Rugby football, cricket and hockey. Ho was also an oarsman. >.,. .
