This morning Detective Gibson arrested three men,, who are*-charged with having committed theft by means of a Customs fraud. One man is_an officer in the JocaF Branch of the Customs Department, arid another is a Customs agent in this city. it is stated that the officer, certified that large : quantities of dutiable goods were Tree and that specified duty was charged to the ■merchants who .bought the goods. If. is not known yet what sum. is involved. Investigations are still-being made in that direction, but the information alreadyyayailable shows that the sum is a very large one. The accused will be, brought., before- the Magistrate's Court to-morrow. The men arrested are. J. Anderson Campbell, sofficer; H. L'.' Green..Customs jageirt j 'and -S. J.
