RAILWAY CROSSINGS.
ANOTHER SERIOUS ACCIDENT. (By TtUgrapk- — Frm Auoeiatton.) AUCKLAND, Last Night. Cyril Bridges and Thomas J. Shee-. Iron/ when driving a motor milk van from town, were ran down, by a train., at a level crossing in. ISewmarket i The van was smashed to matchwood. Bridges sustained a broken leg and other injuries, and Sheehari a broken arm, and severe scalp and face wound*. Both were removed to the hospital. Their injuries are not regarded as likely to prove fatal. The accident occurred at a very dangerous place, where approaching trains are not visible until a person is within- a very short"* distance. It is Stated that the whistle was blown but Bridges and Sheehan evidently did not hear it.
