RELIEF FOR STRIKERS.
MEETING IN MASTERTON.
. A meeting of delegated fjom. the various trades unions of Musterton was held lasfc' evening; when it wan decided to take «teps to institute a fund for the relief of the wm» and families of those who are on strike': in Wellington. A deputation from, tile meeting subsequently waited upon Mr A. W. Hogg, and sought his advice and assistance, j Mr Jfogg suggested that 'the Mayor" he. approached on the subject, and the deputation decided to interview Mr J. M. Coradino this morning." As fftr as we could ascertain," the ' meeting showed no sympathy whatever with" tho "call" of the Federation of Labour for a national strike.
