SERIOUS ACCIDENT.
TWO MEN INJURED. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) BLENHEIM, Last Night, A serious accident occurred at Jordan, Upper Awaterc, * yesterday. Percy McGowan and William Hale, who 1 were engaged in forming a private road, were tamping a charge' of blasting powder. A premature explosion occurred, and the men were hurled some distance away. McGowan was thrown over a steep cliff and rolled down a gully TO feet below. He was severely bruised, and his condition is so bad that he lias been ordered to the hospital. Hale had some teeth -'knocked out. hk face badly disfigured, and his hand injured.
