In view of the uncertainty created by the waterside strike regarding the possibility of North Island horses getting to Riccarton, the committee of the Canterbury Jockey Club has made special arrangements regarding acceptances foir the approaching meeting. These will be received subject to the horses being able to get to the meeting, and fees will be charged-if facilities are n&t available, on account of.the strike for the fulfilment of their engagement's.
