MASTERTON TENNIS CLUB.
ANNUAL MEETING. The annual. meeting oF'lhe. Majterton Lawn Tennis Club was held last evening, Mr D. Caselberg presiding over a fair attendance of members. An apology for absence was received from Mr S. Noble-Campbell. In moving the adoption of the annual report and balance-sheet tho chairman commented on the succas*ful season the club had last year, and expressed the hope that the coming season would be equally or even more successful. Mr Sclanders seconded the motion, which was carried unanimously. A vote of thanks was passed to Messrs Gawith and Logan, Masterton, for valuable services rendered to the club. ■,'"". The following officers were elected for the . ensuing year: President, Very Rev. Dean McKenna, V.G,; vice-presidents Messrs D. ,Caselberg; and A. J. Stone-Wigg; committee, Messrs A. R. Sclanders, N. H: James, A. D. Lowe, J. V. Gordon and D.'Howden; hon. auditor, Mr G. O. Summerell; hon. secretary and treasure, Mr H. Ml Boddington. It was decided that a bonus of £lO 10s be attached to the position of secretary and treasurer for the ensuing year. A bonus of £5 5s was granted to the secretary for the past year. Mr A. R. Sclanders, in conjunction with the secretary, was authorised to sign cheques on behalf of the club. It was' decided that the season be opened, weather permitting, on Saturday, October 25th.
