"IN A WOMAN'S POWER," Another large audience was present at the T.P. Electric Theatre last evening, when "In a Woman's Power" was presented for the second time and again proved a huge success. "In the Blood," a Rex society drama, was also a favourite, and was a superb production, both in acting- and theme. "The Battle in Virginia," a Kalem production, gave a, vivid idea of a Kentucky feud and showed the drastic methods employed in gaining revenge by different parties. "Tracked to the Sandia Mts." was a Western drama which gave an interesting outline of a disappointed lover's travels out back. An item which brought the audience to a considerably en-, thusiastio pitch was the Selig Company'*! dramatic episode, entitled "The Scales of Justice." Honest John Kennedy is presented with a i medal for efficiency and bravery by the board of police commissioners; i He becomes engaged to Polly Maguire, and by so doing incurs the revengeful enmity of 4 'Slippery'' Jim 1 Quinn, the political boss of the ward in which Polly lives. Quinn, who has eyes for Polly, much to that young woman's displeasure, threatens to undo Kennedy before another week has passed. He plans a "frame-up on Kennedy, and with the aid of a marked 60 dollar bill and a wellknown crook, manages to place Kennedy in euch an em harassing position that the policeman, although innocent, is discharged from the force for accepting a. bribe. Now Polly turns against him, believing him to bo dishonest. Through a strange change of circumstances, Kennedy rescues the wife and child of the crook who implicated him and caused his discharge. Moved by the occasion, the crook gives Kennedy the evidence necessary to convict Quinn, the man higher up, and- Kennedy reinstates himsielf in his old position in the force, after which Polly again re- . turns liex - love and-hand. A wide variety of educational items included "Bee Keeping," "The American Rhine," and "The Eclair Journal." Other features were "Bloomer as Negro," "The Tyrant Husband," "Polidor in Danger," and "The Way of Life." There will be a grand matinee at 2.30 on Saturday afternoon. , For Saturday's change a splendid pro? gramme will include the big Lubin masterpiece "The Toll of Fear."
