LONDON WOOL SALES
Messrs Dalgety and Co. Ltd., Wellington, have received the following cablegram from their London office, under date 15th instant: "The list of arrivals for the September wool sales has closed, and all your wools have arrived in time. The new arrivals amount to 149,000 bales. Direct forwardings to manufacturers at Home and abroad, 44,000 bales; old stock, 65,000 bales; leaving available for sale, 170,000 bales."
| PAHIATUA SALE. The N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report: We held our weekly Pahiatua sale in the P.F.A. saleyards on Tuesday last, when we offered a fair entry of cattle to a full attendance of buyers. Dairy heifers and cows were forwarded in large numbers and met a dragging sale, and several lots were passed out unsold. However, under the hammer, and privately afterwards, we managed to quit the bulk of our entry satisfactorily. We ©old springing heifere from £6 7s 6d to £6 17s 6d, heifers in milk £4 10s to £5 10s, dairy cows to £5, yearling steers from £2 5s to £3 12s, yearling heifers from £2 3s to £3, empty store cows £3 to £3 5s 6d.
