POULTRY, PIGEON AND CAGE BIRD ASSOCIATION.
FORMED IN MASTERTON. An enthnsiastio meeting of poultrymen and pigeon fanciers was held in the Homing Club's rooms last night. Mr W. G<nirlay was voted to the chair, and there were present: Messrs R. O. Jarrett, J. Bradbury, L. Wadham, H. O'Leary, J. R. Cook, W. Spackman, J. Dixon, H. M. Boddington, W. Pembrose, W. Dowliag, L. J. P. Cobb, H. M. Milton, A. Hendry, A. Cole, L. Drake, G. Pemher, F. B. Rosson, T. H. Rutherford, J. B. F. Sutherland, and J". Hesp. After a general discussion, Mr H. O'Leary proposed and Mi" A. Cole seconded, "That a Poultry, Pigeon and Canary Association be formed." This was carried unanimously, and many promises of support wexe fonuooming.
All preseat formed themselves into a Canvassing Committee, to report at a future meeting, to be held three weeks hence (October 6th). It is hoped to be able to record a membership of 100 by that date. The annual subscription was fixed at ss.
Messrs F. 3. Rosson, A. Hendry and A. Cole were appointed a subcommittee to draft rules, etc., and report at the next meeting. The election odr officers was left over imtil the «anvass for members was complete, and Mr J. Bradbury wa*s appointed hon. secretary, pro tarn.
