HOMING PIGEON CLUB.
The committee of the Masterton Homing Pigeon Club met in the Club rooms, Chapel Street, last evening, when there was a full attendance, the President (Mr W. Gourlay) being in the chair. The old-bird programme wag drawn up, and includes the following race points:—No 1 North birds Frankton .Junction, Auckland,- Russell, Parengarenga. No £North birds,Ohakune, Taumaranui, Frankton Junction and Auckland. No 1 birds 'South, Christohurch, : Timaru, Dunedin and a race point not less than 500 miles airline, to be decided on No 2 South, Wellington, Blenheim, Christchurch arid Timaru. It was decided that all the South races be flown on Saturdays, and North Taces on Thursdays. The first race of the season will be flown Ohakune on Thursday, October 2nd. After the meeting several hampers were dispatched North and South for the first training tosses of the season It was decided that the official race programme be suspended during Carterton Show week, to enable all birds to compete' in the Ladies Bracelet race at the Show^
