BOYS TERRORISED.
The statement made by the Minister of Defence in the House of Representatives yesterday that boys are being terrorised by their fellow-workers on the West Coast into non-compli-ance with the Defence Act, is a very serious one. It shows clearly that the Socialistic element in the community is not only dangerous to society, but that it is unwilling to obey the laws of the country. Mr P. C. Webb, as member for Grey, took the oath of allegiance to the Crown a few days ago. Having done this, it is his duty, as a man of honour, to urge his constituents to respect the law. If he neglects to 'do this, and enoooirages his fellow-workers to violate the law, •he is not only unfit to occupy a seat in the House, ¥ut he shows that he is utterly incapable of appreciating-the sanctity of an oath. We hope, for his own self-respect, that Mr Webb will use his influence to suppress the terrorism of youths at Riunanga.
