Mr James Sisterson, a successful farmer and prominent sportsman in Poverty Bay; died last week, aged sixty-five years.' ■<>■■■' '"■■>. ' . The death is announced by cable of Mr James Haslam, Labour member for Derbyshire in the House of Commons. He was born in 1842, and was for twenty-nine years a coalminer. The friends of Mr Thomas Flaws, of Masterton, will learn with deep regret of the death of his son, Ernest Joseph, which occurred at hie residence yesterday. The deceased, who was only 20 years of age, had been in iridfferent health for some time, but latterly he took a change for the worse. The funeral will leave the residence, No. 16 Olive-street, at 1.30 p.m. to-morrow for the Masterton Cemetery.
