SUNNYSIDE ASYLUM.
A RECENT DEATH. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON. Last Night. In the House of Representative® this afternoon, Mr 3>avey asked, for a publio inquiry into the "cirfiuinstaiiow surrounding the death of W; A/Tribe* a patient in the Sunhyside Mental Hospital, aUeging, ill-treatment." Mr L. M. lsitt said Siinnyside Asylum was hopelessly overcrowded, . The Hon. R. H. Rhodes said he had heard of the case mentioned, and he had sought information from the ia-etat-ution. The information with which he was supplied ,was inadequate and had been referred back. When he received a reply he could say, if the position warranted it, he would have no hesitation, in recommendinn a public inquiry. The Hon. W. F. Massey said a ptrJte ]?« inauiiy be arranged for, aud the fullest publicity given to theproceedings. He added that provision had been made for the erection qjf a receiving home in cooßectiojj with Sunnyside.
