SHOOTING AFFRAY.
IN A WELLLINGTON STREET.
(By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Last Night, A sensational shooting caee occurred in Upper Willis-street this evening. Mrs Samuel Minifie was walking along the street, when her husband, from whom she was separated, came along and asked her to accompany him into, a shop near by. The woman refused, and appealed for protection to a man who was passing. Minifie thereupon pulled out a revolver and fired at his wife. He then turned round and made his escape. It was found, that the bullet had only penetrated the fleshy part of Mr a Minifie's left arm, and thewound is riot likely to be serious. She was removed to the hospital. Minifie was ax-rested, about nine o'clock, in a hotel. [Minifie and his wife were at one time resident in Masterton.]
