GREEK ATTACK ON BULGARIANS. THE LATTER PUT TO FLIGHT. (Received Last Night, 10. 300 clock.) SALONIKA, July 28. The Greeks traversed twelve miles of the Krosna Pass. They found Bulgarian artillery covering the mouth of the defile, preventing developments. The Bulgarian 'right occupied a precipitous height at Roujen, which was fortified with four lines of entrenchments. The lines extended from Sementi to the heights of Porogos Mahara. They were supported by powerful artillery. After marching in pouring rain and thick fog on Friday night, the Greeks on Saturday attacked the whole BuigariSn fjront, dislodging them from ißoujen. The Greeks in Nevos Valley iqade a similar advance. The Greek attack was everywhere successful. ; -Three siege guns were captured, ' ana the Bulgarians finally fled. . GREEKS OCCUPY DEDEAZATCH. The retreating Bulgarians left a company at Kavoli, with prders to burn and sack the town in the morning, but a body of Turkish oarsmen crept through the- lines in the night, and, with muffled oars, rowed eighteen miles. A Greek fleet destroyer w&9 despatched to Kavoli. When the watchman on the chuch tower saw the destroyer in the. harbour, he rang the bells and ran into the streets, shouting, "The Greek fleet has com^!" The Bulgarians thereuj»on fled. The populace gave an ovation to the Greek captain ahd the Turkish boatmen. RUSSIA ABANDONS ACTION. (Received this morning 12.5 o'clock.) ST. PETERSBURG, July 28. Russia has abandoned the idea of a separate action ajgainst 'Turkey. Sihe is willing for a naval demonstration'.. The Powers expect Bulgaria to expel the"-Turks herself. GREEKS OCCUPY A TOWN, SERVIANS COMPLETE INVESTMENT OF WIDIN. A REPORT DENIED. - (Received July 28, 9.10 a.m.) SALONIKA, July 27. ' The Greeks yesterday occupied Xanthi after the Bulgarians had pillaged the town and oarried off the Greek Metropolitan and eighty notables, whose fate is unknown. BELGRADE, July 27. The Servians have completed the investment of Widin. .. .1 It is semi-officially denied that Servia and Greece have come to an, agreement with the object of taking action against Bulgaria.
