QUARANTINE REGULATIONS.

OBJECTION BY SHIPPING '^COMPANIES. (Received Last Night, 9.58 o'clock.) SUVA, July 28. The Shipping Companies resent the quarantine regulations procliamed .on Saturday. Unless these are'modified there is a probability of the Islands being isolated. The Levuka's trip has been cancelled, and the 'Union Company has announced that the sailing dates are uncertain. A deputation asked the Governor to relax the regulations, and he promised to reply to-morrow. The result is a foregone conclusion. The companies hold the Government in the hollow of their hand. If there were no vessels, there would be a famine in a month.
