A Sydney cable records the death of Mr J. W. Turner, Superintendent of Technical Education for New South Wales iMr D. B. Carrick, the newly appointed manager of the local branch of Messrs Dalgety and Co., arrived in "Masterton last evening. Mr L. A. Ward has been appointed manager of the Pahiatua branch of Messrs Abraham and Williams during the absence in England of Mr W. E. Collins. At St. Outhbert's Church, Eketar huna, yesterday, Miss Hannah Torwick, niece of Mr and Mrs Peter Neilson, of Eketahiuna, was married to Mr S. Kerney, of Hastings. The Rev. Walke officiated. Mr Andrew Larsen, at one time in charge of the ironmongery department of tihe Eketahuna branch of the W.F.C.A.j is statrtihg business on his own account in Pahiatua as a general ironmonger.
