Although the Electoral Department is yet unable to declare the final returns of the polls, figures received by the "Telegraph*' from the electoral officers 6how the number of votes cast for candidates of the House of Representatives to be as follows:—Liberals, 921,361; Labour. 912,049: Independents, 49,183. . The voting for the Senate was as follows:—Liberals, 2,846,472; Labour, 2,778,496; Independents, 108,572. m
