H. t Labatt, secretary) and those of tihe New ,Zealand Shearers' and Woolshed Employees' Industrial Association of Workers." Briefly, the men have been granted £1 per hundred all round for machine and blade shearing, and'for shearing lambs. The agreement covers this season and the next three seasons. For tihe 1913-14 shearing season the rate to be paid for shearing grown sheep or lambs by hand or machine shall not be less than £1 per hundred, with rations. The special, clause? . jft.the existing awards, prescribing Kites of pay machine-shearing and shearing lambi, shall not be further operative, and such a war da shall be read as though the clauses indicated had been deotlit&respects, will remain unaltered. Messrs John Cooper (President of the Sfifiurers' Association) and Michael L&racy (secretary), by the agreement undertake to use their influence to secure that the Association will take such steps as may be necessary to secure new shearers' a,wards in place of those now in force, and to apph for such new awards in the variou.; industrial districts in which the present awards are operating; such new awards to embody only the terms of this ■agreement, and. to be made for a period of three years as from January 31st; 1914.
