MASTER OF ELIBANK'S STATEMENT.

CABLED TO LONDON.

(Received Last Night, 11.56 o'clock.) . . LONDON, June 12.

The Marconi Committee has receivthe Master. of Elibank'e cablegram, in which he begs the Committee to accept the following evidence: "I read Mr Lloyd George's and Sir Rufus Isaacs' evidence, and completely and absolutely confirm their statement regarding the interest in American Maroonigrams. As Chief Whip I bought three thousand, which 1 still hold, and outside the foregoing I never had any interest personally or as Whip, in any Marconigram shares in any shape or form. I consulted Mr Frank Crisp and a solicitor about Fenner's default, and it was agreed not to involve the newWhip in the, muddle, but advise him later. Neither Mr Ulimgworth nor his, colleagues know of this or any Whip investments. If the Committee so desire I will, regardless of business obligations, return at express speed.'' The Committee, on the motion of Lord Robert,' Cecil, cabled to- the Master of Elibank that the special report upon' the charges against Ministers im already complete, and if ho returned before the final report wah prepared, the Committo would hear his evidence.
