(Bv Telegraph,.—Press Association.) . ~. OHRISTCHURCH, Last Night. Touching remarks were made in the "L/ttelton Court on Wednesday by Mr H. W. Bishop, S.M., as to the failure of responsible officers to attend prosecutions under the Defence Act. Captain Kelsall, an area-group officer, told a reporter than the cases in point were misadventures.. The police in all previous prosecutions hid notified the Defence authorities of the dates of the prosecutions, .and the ' necessary officers had been there. In this case the police had not done so, and he believed the blame rested entirely with them.
