BEE-KEEPING INDUSTRY.
If there i a one industry % more .than another that requires developing in: New Zealand, it is that of bee-keep-ing; For some reason or another this adjunct to the been almost entirely neglected.-"-Those" individuals who have embarked upon the industry as a sole means of livelihood have done tolerably well,, but not nearly as well as they t should have done. The fact i*thatthe" nutritive qualities of honey hi vshot been sufficiently represented /to the public; and the Mdufey itself hag not been organised. It is satisfactory to note that a conference of bee-keepers is to be' held at Wellington this inontli, with a view to developing a s ch*eme of organised co-operation. If this purpose can be successfully achieved, and a, proper system of advertising is entered upon, there can be little doubt that the demand for honey within the Dominion will, be enormously increased, and the outside markets will be successfully exploited. ;..,.,
