A PRESBYTERIAN PROTEST. (Received Last Night, h. 40 o'clwfc.) MELBOURNE, May *ifl. The report of tha commiiitr* of tit* l Presbyterian Assembly against the proposed 'endeavour of military officers to have camp canteens restored, allegedly because the recent "dry camps" were marked wit.ft misconduct such as disgraced no previous military operations. The report asks the Defence Department to thoroughly inquire before moving in the matter. The statement was made that some of the most responsible officers had declared that the camps were never more orderly or bettor conducted.
