WEDDING.

CARROLL-MURRAY. .A..wedding in which more than ordinary interest was centred was celebrated in St. Matthew's Church, Masterton, yesterday, when Mr Charlton Wilson Carroll, only son of the late Mr Samuel Qarroll, for many yea<ra secretary of the Wellington Chamber of Commerce, was united to Miss Aileen Murray, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs J. L. Murray, of this town. The ohurch was crowded with relatives and friends of the young couple. The bride was given away by her father. She was attired in a handsome gown of ivory satin charmeuse, j trimmed with Irish crochet lace and | pearls, with an embroidered veil over a bandeau of orange blissom's and lily i of the valley. She also oarried a beautiful shower bouquet. The bridesmaids were the Misses Edith and Gladys Murray, sisters of the bride. They were dressed in pretty pale apricot satin chairmeuise, draped with mechlin lace, and finished at the waist with violet velvet. They wore hats of black panne velvet, trimmed with apricot satin roses, and carried bouquets of maiden hair fern and violets. They a<lso wore handsome gold bangles, the gift of the bridegroom. Mr S. Tingoy (Wellington) acted as best man, and Mr J. Haarison (Wellington) as groomsman. The oeremony was performed by the Rev. Herbert Watson, Wax of St. Matthew's, and the "Wedding Maroh" wns played on the organ by Mr O. Spencer Compton. At the conclusion of the ceremony, a reception was held in the Exchange Halfl, when the toast of the newlymarried couple was honoured in the usual way. The mother of the bride was dressed in a pretty gown of grey silk crepe de chine, with Mack hat. black oltraesand fkme-colouced wing. Mrs Deck (sister of the bridegroom) I was dressod in oral ninon, finished I with saxe blue velvet, with a saxe blue velvet hat and plumes. The newly-married couple, who were the recipients of many handsome presents, left by motor in the afternoon for the north. The bride's goingaway dress was a navy tailor-made costume, with violet velvet hat and black fox furs, the latter being the gift of the bridegroom.
