HOCKEY.
The Wairarapa Hookey Association continued its competition fixtures yesterday afternoon in fine, though .somewhat windy weather. At Featherston, P. and T. (Masterton) met and defeated Featherston by 6 goals to nil—Jackson (3), Richards (1), MiHer (1), and Hendry (1) being Bho ■•scorers. At Carterton, Excelsiors played the local team, the result being as follows: Carterton 7 goals, Excelsiors nil.
St, Matthew's defeated Carterton at Lansdawne yesterday by 7 goals to 3. Challis "(2), Johnson, Wyeth, James, and Oothers (1 each). Had it not been for the St. Matthew's backs speculating and missing, the scores would certainly have been more in theis favour.
