FATAL GUN ACCIDENT.
JURY ADDS A RIDER. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) HASTINGS, Last Night. At the inquest concerning the death of Charles Flanders, aged 19, who met .with a fatal gun accident whilst duck-shooting yesterday, a verdict was returned that deceased wa& accidentally killed by a gunsho. by the negligent use of the gun. The following rider was added: "The frequency of accidents arising solely from the careless use of firearms, suggests the advisability of legislation requiring all persons using, or having possession of, firearms and ammunition, to take out a license issued by some competent expert, afteir careful examination and inquiry regarding the proposed license."
