The threatening aspect of the :weather last night was succeeded to-day by most favourabl£,conditions for the opening day of the "Marlborough Racing Club's Autumn meeting. The course gives evidence of the protracted dry spell, but the going was vary fair. The meeting was well attended. The following are „iie results:— Maiden Hack Jtiace, 6 furlongs.— Parky, 8.6 (J.
