THE HALF-HOLIDAY.
AM INJUNCTION CHANTED. NO POLL'TO BETAKEN. 1 The motion of"Mir '-m J. King, on.behalf of the Retailers' Association, for an injunction ifco restrain the ReOfficer at Masterton from taking .a 'poll on the question of the statutory half-holiday, on the ground that the requisition was aiot signed by one-tenth of the. number of electors on the roll, was heard by Mr Justice Edwards on Thursday afternoon. The motion was moved by Mr T. F. Martin of Wellington, instructed by Messrs Hollings and Pragnell, solicitors, of Masterton. His Honor reserved his decision until yesterday morning, when he granted the injunction asked for. The Masterton Borough Council was not represented. No poll will, in consequence of the Injunction, be taken on the half-holi-day question.
