THE FARMERS' UNION.

MR COCKAYNE AT ITNUL Mr A. . H. Cockayne, Governmont Biologist, addressed a representative meeting of farmers at Tinui yesterday, the chair being occupied by Mill. Ryder. Mr Cockayne dealt at considerable length with the pasturage question, and made ?<pecial reference to the seeds suitable for second and third class lands. The children of the higher classes of the Tinui school were present at the lecture, and the lecturer was accorded a hearty vote of thanks. Mr Cockayne will address the Masterton Centre of the Farmers' Union after the annual meeting thig afternoon.
