LONDON WOOL SALES.
A BRISK OPENING. (Received April 20, 10 a.m.) LONDON, April 23. The wool sales opened strong. There was keen competition for all sorts, at late rates.
Messrs James Macintosh and Co. have received the following cable from their London agents:—"At the wool sale's to-day, the market remained unchanged." The New Zealand Loan, and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., have received the following cable: "There was a full attendance at the opening of the ■sales to-day, competition by Home and Continental buyers being active, and prices as compared with tTie clos" of preceding series are firm for all •sorts.
