THE BOROUGH ELECTION.
NOMINATIONS TO DATE. Nominations for seats on the Masterton Borough Council, and for the Mayoralty, close at noon to-day. Mr James Moore Coradine wag yesfor the Mavoraltv by Messrs) J. Elliott and E. G. Eton. It is expected that he will be returned without opposition. The nominations received for the Borough Council up till last evening were as follows : W. G. Lamb, .nominated by Dr W. H. Hjosking and Mr J. C. Boddington. William . Candy, nominated by Messrs J. S. Berriman and H. T. Wood. ■Frederick W. Temple, nominated by Messrs J.. C. Ewingtcn and J. S. Pinhey. Joseph P. Prentice, nominated by Messrs J. Elliott and D. M. Graham. William Pragnell, nominated by Messrs W. H. Cruickshank and Joseph Carpenter. Harley H. Donald, nominated bv Messrs G. H. Perry and W. H. Hirschberg. James A. McEwen, nominated by Messrs J. C. Cooper and F. J. Hunn. It is expected that the other candidates will be Messrs E. Flanagan, W. G. Kemball, G. W. Sellar, H. J. O'Leary, R. J. King, A. E. Winzenberg, J. C. Ewington and W. Kemp.
