LATE COMMERCIAL.
PAHIATUA STOCK SALE. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report on their weekly sale, held in the P.F.A. yards on Tuesday, when they offered a fair yarding of sheep and small entry of cattle to a medium attendance of farmers. Sheep showed a slight improvement on previous sales. Cat. tie met a dragging sale. They, however, 'report a good clearance at the following rates : —Sheer): F.'M. ewes 8s 9d o 9s 9d, aged ewes 5s 3d to 7s 4d. Cattle: Yearling steers £2-Is to £2 &, 20-montih steers £3 10s, mixed weanera 16s. 20s, 25g to 30s, picked .Jersey cross weaners +o £3 Is, stare cows to 30s.
