A DATING ATTEMPT. CAPTURE OF MISCREANT. 'lii'ceivod This Morning, 12 &' o'clock.) SYDNEY, April 9. A s?nsatiomai isticking-up case is reported from Braidwood, in New South Wales. A man entered a Chinaman's store and asked to be shown a rifle and cartridge*. He inserted a cartridge and threatened to shoot the proprietor and two assistants unles-s he was given £2O. He was handed the contents of the till, amounting to £l3. and departed, threatening to kill anyone who told the police. The then visited another store, and adopted the same tactics, but was forced to leave without any loot. He next etuck up a horseman, and mounting the commandeered amimal, ode into the bush. Probationary Constable Brown followed, and after a short struggle captured the culprit and lodged him in Lhe lock-up.
