TERRITORIAL CAMPS.
The Territorial camps that are being held throughout the Dominion, are doing very useful service in breaking down the prejudice that exists against the compulsory system of defence. The young men are entering into the spirit of the -business with avidity, and show a distinct partiality for camp life. From the point of view of business, however, it would have been better had the date of the whole of the camps l>een so arranged that they fit in with Easter week. The business places would then have closed down from Good Friday to Easter Tuesday, and the disorganisation of the employers' arrangements would not have been so pronounced as under existing conditions. We trust that this aspect of the question will appeal to the defence authorities when they are making future arrangements.
