(To the Editor.) . J- have been only a few months m Masterton, having come here from rfelson. I am surprised to learn that your good township, which seem 15 be-just recovering from the shook of iN o-license, intends trying another experiment which will set it back for years, I well remember what 'happened in Nelson. It was said there that the change in days of closing would make no difference to the business of the city, and that the samemoney would be expended as before. I can assure y6u, sir, that the difference waa soon realised by ■people. The country people did not come onto, town on Fridays, and they were satisfied with their bare requirements, "which were delivered to them by cart. Kelson speedily went back on the Saturday, and I would warn Masterton, therefore, against trying the clxange.—l am, etc., OLD NELSONTAN. ' Masterton, April 1, 1913.
