Tom Williams, a. young police officer, determines to> break up the gang, and, surprising; them, opens lire. The gang seize a» motor boat, and the police give chase* there is a running fight until tho gangsters' ammunition give, then BilL takes to the water an<l Williams follows. On the shore there is a desperate struggle between the two, in. which Bill is victorious, until he discovers on the officer's person the l(,cket> he.- tried to steal. He immediately realises that Williams is Elsie's sveefcheart, and the water rat places thehandcuffs on his own wrists and gives himself up to tho law.
