The death occurred at Eltham j„ Sunday morning of Dr G. A. Hanison, a brother in law of Dr Valium Inspector-General of Hospitals. About a fortnight ago lie attended a child patient who had been operated on for an acute abscess 011 the n-'ck-Wlien bandaging the wound he slightly pricked the thumb of lii-s left hand with the pin used for fastening ihcbandage. An interesting wedding was celebrated at the Methodist Church, Masterton, yesterday, when Miss Ella Re id, only daughter of Mr and ißeid, Pine Street, Masterton, u - married to Mr Alfred Rippon, also of Masterton. The wedding service was conducted by the Rev S. J. Serpell. Miss Thompson, of Ekatahuna was bridesmaid, and Mr J. Mcintosh, Masterton, best man. The church (was prettily decorated, and a large number of and friends were present. After the ceremony a reception was held at Wicken's rooms, when a. number of .oasts were honoured. The happy couple left by the afternoon train for Wellington, where the honeymoon' will be spent. Mr and Mrs Rippon will reside in Masterton.
