AT THE SOLWAY SHOW

The results of the weight-guessing competitions at the Sol way show wer<; decided yesterday by the secretary and committee of the Ma-stertoii A. and P. Association.

In the luillock guessing competition there were 609 tickets sold, and the guesses varied from 490-J-M) to 11 IS!'"., in the -slieej) competition thero were 183 tickets sold, the figures haiukwj in varying from .12f>Jll> to lifJOib. hi the case of the bullock, the exact weight was 6471b, while the three sheep -weighed 2011b. The best guesses were as follow: Bullock guessing competition, Messrs W. S. Jackson and Eagle (Masterton), 6471b; Mrs L. F. Moore (Masterton), G47-£lb; Mr A. 1). McLeou (Martinborough), 647.\1b; Miss Ina McKenzie (Masterton), 6481b; Mr \\ . H. Douglas (Taratahi), 648j1>; Mr J. Henderson. (Gladstone), 6481b. The two will require to draw fW iii'st prize—a Singer -sewing machine —the loser taking the second prize of £2 and the third prize "f being divided between the next two. Sheep guessing.—Mr E.
