THE HALF-HOLIDAY.
It scenes more than likely that a poll ">A"i! 1 bo taken in Mast prion in April next on the question of observing the weekly half-holiday on Saturday, instead of Thursday. We do not propose, in the •meantime, to discuss the pros and cons of the question. This we hope to do in detail in a- future issue. We would only say iust now that the tradespeople of 4 tile town, and that large section of the community that 'has, been in the habit of trading oil Saturdays, will require to be very active between now and April. All sorts of specious arguments will be employed to influence nublic opinion, and unless the position is put clearly and unequivocally there will be a danger of a. considerable portion of the trade of Master ton beinc diverted to Carterton and elsewhere.
