MASTERTON SHOW
A BRILLIANT OUTLOOK. The outlook for the Masterton A. and P. Association's annual show, to he held on the beautiful showgrounds at Solwav <>n Tuesday and Wednesday of this week, is favourable almost to brilliance. The grounds themselves are a picture to look upon—the green swarths, with ornamental trees dotted here and there; the delightful piece ot naitural bush and other vegetation in the background; the sparkling stream, passing under shady bowers and .rustic bridges, as it pursues its steal) by and serpentino course through forest and pasture; the fine grandstand and lawn; the pavilions, and spick-and-span appointments; all of these things, approached through delightful avenues of trees from east and west, contrive to form a panorama unique in its picturesqueness and almost sublime in its grandeur. With such a feast for the eyes, and with tho pick of the stock of the Dominion, to say nothing of a gorgeous display of horticulture and homo industries. an arcade of special stands, a whole host of side-shows, music, from brass and pipe-bands, liorse-jumping, parade of stock, and all the etceteras pertaining to the principal autumn show of Now Zealand, visitors to Solway on Tuesday and Wednesday should be more than repaid for the time expended in proceeding thither. The train arrangements are perfect. Visitors from abroad are lauded right on the ground; or they may proceed to Masterton and be conveyed to Solwav in motors and other vehicles. There is nn abundance of accommodation, and the weather promises to be all that, could be desired. It is anticinated that the attendance at the show this week will break all previous records.
