CANADA'S NAVY
STATEMENT BY EX-MINISTER. RADICALS SEVERELY CRITICISED. (Received Last Night. 11.-") o'clock.) LONDON. February 13. The Hon W. S. Feilding, Canadian ex-Minister of Finance, who came to England after the introduction of the Hon 11. L. Borden's Naval Bill, denies that there has been organised opposition to the Bill, although hp admits that there have been repeated conferences of Radicals. The Daily Telegraph declares that a. considerable body of Radicals are lobbying in the House of Commons, in tlie hope of embarrassing tho Canadian Government, and adds: "Not content with subterranean methods, they interviewed tho Hons. H. IT. A'Squith and Winston Churchill with the object of prevailing them to niter their attitude towards Canada's proposals. The Daily Telegraph.deprecates the slightest suggestion of interference with oversea's affairs. "It is deplorable," says tho Telegraph, "at a moment of Imperial awakening, that such intrigues should exist."
