Diaz tactions have united at Orozco with revolutionists lrom the Northern States, to prosecute the revolt against- President Madero. British and other Ambassadors called at the National Palace at noon and conferred with President Alatlcro, with a view to securing an armistice. The. Diplomatic Corps also sent a representative to confer with (»et"'ial Diaz, whom ho reached after running thp gauntlet- of a severe rifle fire, until General Diaz was able to control the troops. General Diaz refused an armistice. The Government forces then combined in a fierce attack in the hope of dislodging tlu> rebels. Bullets rained throughout the day. and several Americans were pnotigst those who were killed in r.he streois. Automobiles under white !l::g>, removed the women and children to the Embassies lo be out of danger. AMERICAN' FORCE READY. (Received February 13. 11 a.m.) WASHINGTON. February 12. A United States expeditionary force of threo thousand men is ready to depart for Mexico. A force of marines is also in readiness.
